ওয়ার্ল্ড ক্রাইম নিউজ ২৪.কম (টিভি),আন্তর্জাতিক প্রতিনিধি ,মঙ্গলবার, ১১ জুলাই ২০২৩ : বাংলাদেশের আসন্ন জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনকে কেন্দ্র করে সম্ভাব্য সহিংসতা থেকে বাঁচতে নিজ দেশের নাগরিকদের জন্য বিক্ষোভ সতর্কতা জারি করেছে ঢাকার মার্কিন দূতাবাস। মঙ্গলবার (১১ জুলাই) দুপুরে ঢাকার মার্কিন দূতাবাসের ওয়েবসাইটে এ সতর্কতা জারি করে।

এতে বলা হয়, ২০২৪ সালের জানুয়ারি কিংবা তার আগে বাংলাদেশের জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হতে পারে। নির্বাচনকে কেন্দ্র করে এরই মধ্যে রাজনৈতিক দলগুলো দেশজুড়ে সমাবেশ এবং অন্যান্য নির্বাচন কেন্দ্রিক কার্যক্রম শুরু করেছে। নির্বাচন যত ঘনিয়ে আসবে রাজনৈতিক এসব কর্মকাণ্ড আরও বাড়তে পারে।

এ অবস্থায় মার্কিন নাগরিকদের সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করে চলাফেরা করা উচিত। মনে রাখা উচিত যে, শান্তিপূর্ণ রাজনৈতিক কর্মসূচিগুলো যেকোনো সময় সংঘর্ষ কিংবা সহিংসতায় রূপ নিতে পারে।
নাগরিকদের উদ্দেশে মার্কিন দূতাবাস বলে, আপনাকে বিক্ষোভ এড়াতে হবে এবং কোনো বড় সমাবেশের আশপাশে সতর্ক অবস্থানে থাকতে হবে।

পাশাপাশি ব্যক্তিগত নিরাপত্তা পরিকল্পনা পর্যালোচনা করা ছাড়াও স্থানীয় ঘটনাসহ আশপাশের পারিপার্শ্বিক বিষয়ে সচেতন থাকতেও হবে। এছাড়া দূতাবাসের পরবর্তী আপডেটগুলোতেও নজর রাখার পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়েছে।

You should avoid demonstrations and exercise caution in the vicinity of any large gatherings. Review personal security plans; remain aware of your surroundings, including local events; and monitor local news stations for updates.
